Product Overview
The Hikvision DS-2CD2043G2-I(U) is a 4MP AcuSense fixed bullet network camera designed for reliable perimeter security and clear identification. It uses a 1/3″ progressive scan CMOS sensor with up to 2688 × 1520 maximum resolution, delivering detailed video for surveillance applications. For challenging lighting, the camera supports 120 dB WDR and day/night operation with ICR (IR cut), helping maintain image quality in strong backlight conditions.
A key highlight is Hikvision AcuSense technology based on deep learning, which focuses on human and vehicle targets classification. Motion detection with human/vehicle classification, along with perimeter protection features such as line crossing detection and intrusion detection, helps improve alarm efficiency and reduce false alarms.
For efficient storage and streaming, the camera supports H.265+ compression (and H.265/H.264/H.264+ options), with configurable bitrate and support for SVC. The camera also supports audio in the -U variant with a built-in microphone for real-time audio security.
Designed for outdoor use, it offers IP67 protection and an IR illuminator with a range up to 40 m at 850 nm. Integration features include ONVIF-like interoperability via Open Network Video Interface (Profile S/Profile G), ISAPI and SDK, plus web browser and iVMS-4200/Hik-Connect client support. The camera also includes built-in microSD storage (up to 512 GB).
