Terms of Use
Last updated: 9 June 2026
These Terms of Use explain the rules for using the Lensia website, Lensia AI, Lensia Wiki, Lensia Magazine, Lensia Connect, and any other online services provided by Lensia.
By using this website or any Lensia service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the website or services.
1. About Lensia
Lensia provides information, guidance, tools, and online services relating to CCTV, security cameras, security systems, camera installation, product research, and installer discovery.
Lensia is designed to help users learn about security equipment, understand available options, and connect with relevant service providers where available.
For the purposes of these Terms, “Lensia”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Lensia. “You” and “your” refer to any person using the Lensia website, Lensia AI, Lensia Wiki, Lensia Magazine, Lensia Connect, or any related service.
2. Our Services
Lensia may provide access to the following services:
Lensia AI
Lensia AI is an online assistant designed to provide general guidance about CCTV, security cameras, security systems, installation planning, product types, camera placement, storage, recording, night vision, and related security topics.
Lensia AI is provided for general information only. It does not replace professional advice, a physical site survey, installer assessment, legal advice, insurance advice, or manufacturer-specific technical support.
Lensia AI may make mistakes. You should check important information before relying on it, especially before buying equipment, installing cameras, changing security settings, or making decisions that affect safety, privacy, or compliance.
Lensia Wiki
Lensia Wiki provides product information, security equipment information, camera and recorder details, specifications, categories, and learning materials.
We aim to keep information useful and accurate, but we do not guarantee that all product details, specifications, images, descriptions, availability, or compatibility information will always be complete, current, or error-free.
You should always check manufacturer documentation, installer guidance, and product manuals before purchasing or installing any equipment.
Lensia Magazine
Lensia Magazine provides articles, guides, buying advice, installation tips, security insights, and general educational content.
Magazine content is for general information only. It should not be treated as professional, technical, legal, or safety advice. You are responsible for checking whether any guidance is suitable for your property, equipment, location, and requirements.
Lensia Connect
Lensia Connect may help users find or contact security installers, CCTV installers, or other relevant service providers.
Unless clearly stated otherwise, installers and service providers listed, shown, contacted, or introduced through Lensia Connect are independent third parties. They are not employees, agents, or representatives of Lensia.
Lensia does not guarantee that any installer or service provider will be available, suitable, qualified, insured, accredited, licensed, reliable, or able to complete your project. You are responsible for carrying out your own checks before hiring any installer or service provider.
You should confirm all details directly with the installer or service provider, including services offered, experience, qualifications, insurance, availability, warranties, pricing, payment terms, cancellation terms, and aftercare.
3. Use of the Website and Services
You agree to use Lensia only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not damage, disrupt, misuse, or interfere with the website, services, systems, users, or third parties.
You must not:
use Lensia for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive purposes;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, server, system, account, database, or service;
copy, scrape, harvest, or extract large amounts of content or data without permission;
upload or send malicious code, spam, or harmful material;
impersonate another person, business, installer, or organisation;
submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information;
use Lensia AI to generate harmful, illegal, unsafe, or abusive content;
interfere with the operation, security, or availability of Lensia services.
We may restrict, suspend, or block access to the website or services if we believe these Terms have been breached or if we need to protect Lensia, users, service providers, or third parties.
4. No Professional Guarantee
Lensia provides general information and guidance. We do not guarantee that any content, AI response, article, product information, installer listing, or recommendation will be suitable for your specific property, risk level, budget, legal requirements, insurance requirements, or technical setup.
Security system planning often depends on property layout, lighting, network quality, power availability, privacy rules, recording requirements, camera angles, equipment compatibility, and installation conditions. These factors may require a physical inspection by a qualified professional.
You should not rely only on Lensia when making important security, safety, legal, insurance, or purchasing decisions.
5. CCTV, Privacy, and Legal Compliance
If you install or use CCTV, security cameras, recording equipment, or monitoring systems, you are responsible for making sure your use complies with applicable laws, regulations, privacy obligations, signage requirements, data protection rules, and any landlord, lease, workplace, insurance, or local authority requirements.
Lensia does not provide legal advice. If you are unsure about CCTV privacy rules, recording areas, audio recording, workplace monitoring, public-facing cameras, data storage, or access to footage, you should seek appropriate legal or professional advice.
6. Installer Listings and Third-Party Services
Lensia Connect may display installer profiles, contact options, service categories, locations, experience details, languages, or other information.
Installer information may be provided by the installer, collected from public sources, submitted through forms, or generated from available data. We do not guarantee that installer profiles or listings are complete, accurate, current, verified, or suitable for your needs.
Any agreement you make with an installer or third-party service provider is between you and that third party. Lensia is not responsible for their work, pricing, advice, quotations, delays, cancellations, conduct, negligence, damage, warranties, or disputes.
You should carry out your own checks before appointing an installer. This may include checking identity, insurance, qualifications, reviews, previous work, written quotations, terms, payment arrangements, and guarantees.
7. Quotes, Pricing, and Availability
Any prices, quotes, estimates, lead responses, or service details provided by third parties are not controlled by Lensia unless clearly stated otherwise.
Lensia does not guarantee product availability, installer availability, pricing, installation dates, response times, or quote accuracy.
Where Lensia provides general buying guidance, this is for information only and should not be treated as a final quote, offer, or recommendation to purchase a specific product or service.
8. User Information and Submissions
You may be able to submit information through forms, Lensia AI, Lensia Connect, newsletter sign-ups, contact forms, search tools, or other website features.
You are responsible for making sure any information you provide is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of any person or organisation.
You must not submit confidential, sensitive, unlawful, abusive, misleading, or unnecessary personal information.
Where you submit information to request contact from installers, service providers, or Lensia, you agree that the information may be used to handle your request, subject to our Privacy Policy.
9. Lensia AI Conversations
When using Lensia AI, you should avoid sharing sensitive personal information, passwords, payment details, private security codes, alarm codes, access credentials, or information that could compromise your safety or security.
Lensia AI is designed to provide general CCTV and security camera guidance. It may not always understand your situation correctly, and it may produce incomplete, outdated, or incorrect responses.
You are responsible for checking AI responses before relying on them.
10. Content Ownership
Unless otherwise stated, all website content, branding, logos, text, graphics, layouts, articles, software, design elements, and other materials on Lensia are owned by Lensia or licensed to Lensia.
You may view and use the website for personal or business information purposes.
You must not copy, reproduce, republish, sell, distribute, modify, scrape, or commercially exploit Lensia content without written permission, except where allowed by law.
11. Articles, Product Information, and External References
Lensia may publish information about CCTV brands, camera types, recorders, technologies, specifications, installation methods, and security topics.
Product names, brand names, images, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. References to third-party brands or products do not mean Lensia is endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with those brands unless clearly stated.
We may update, remove, correct, or change content at any time.
12. Third-Party Links
The Lensia website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, products, installers, manufacturers, social media pages, or external resources.
These links are provided for convenience only. Lensia is not responsible for third-party websites, content, policies, services, pricing, availability, security, or actions.
You should review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party website or service you use.
13. Newsletter and Communications
If you sign up to receive updates from Lensia, we may send you emails about CCTV advice, security tips, website updates, technology news, Lensia services, or related content.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails where an unsubscribe option is provided.
Service-related messages may still be sent where necessary to respond to your enquiry, manage your request, or provide important information about a service you have used.
14. Availability of the Website
We aim to keep Lensia available and working properly, but we do not guarantee that the website or services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, fast, or error-free.
We may suspend, restrict, change, or remove any part of the website or services at any time, including for maintenance, updates, security, technical issues, legal reasons, or business reasons.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lensia will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from:
your use of, or inability to use, the website or services;
reliance on Lensia AI, Lensia Wiki, Lensia Magazine, or any website content;
inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unavailable information;

third-party websites, products, services, or content;
loss of data, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or indirect loss;
technical problems, cyber incidents, interruptions, or website errors.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
16. No Warranty
Lensia is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that the website, AI responses, content, tools, installer listings, or services will meet your requirements, be accurate, be current, be secure, be uninterrupted, or be free from errors.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we may update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of Lensia after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Privacy
Your use of Lensia is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information.
You should read the Privacy Policy together with these Terms.
