Product Overview
The Hikvision DS-2CD2046G3-IZ(2U)Y is a 4 MP AcuSense motorized varifocal bullet network camera designed for reliable outdoor monitoring. It uses a 1/3″ progressive scan CMOS sensor with a maximum resolution of 2688 × 1520, providing clear, detailed images in day and night conditions. The lens is a motorized varifocal 2.8 to 4 mm, enabling flexible framing with horizontal fields of view from 99.3° (2.8 mm) down to 80.0° (4 mm). For low-light performance, the camera is “Powered by DarkFighter” and includes an IR illuminator (850 nm) with a supplement light range up to 40 m, supporting smart supplement light.
Built for harsh environments, it features an anti-corrosion design with NEMA 4X protection and an IP67 weather and dust resistance rating. The camera also supports crystal-clear audio via arrayed dual microphones (model dependent; this -2U variant has two built-in microphones).
On the analytics side, AcuSense deep learning enables person and vehicle classification, enhancing relevance of alerts. Smart functions include perimeter protection features such as line crossing, intrusion, and region entry/exit, with alarm triggering for specified target types (human and vehicle). The camera supports multiple video streams and advanced encoding (H.265/H.264), as well as ONVIF and Hikvision client platforms for integration.
