Product Overview
The Hikvision DS-2CD2083G2-IU (Black) is an 8MP fixed bullet network camera designed for high-detail monitoring with smart analytics. It uses a 1/2.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor and delivers up to 3840 × 2160 resolution. For efficient recording, it supports H.265+ (and H.265/H.264+) video compression and offers 120 dB WDR to help maintain clear images in strong backlight conditions.
AcuSense deep learning technology focuses on human and vehicle target classification, helping improve alarm efficiency and effectiveness. Smart events include line crossing detection, intrusion detection (with human and vehicle triggering), and face detection. Basic events include motion detection (with alarm triggering by specified target types), video tampering alarms, and exception events.
For low-light coverage, the camera includes IR illumination with an 850 nm wavelength and a supplement light range up to 40 m, with smart IR enabled. The “-U” variant adds a built-in microphone for real-time audio security.
Built for demanding installations, the camera is rated IP67 for water and dust resistance. It supports PoE (802.3af, Class 3) as well as 12 VDC power, integrates local storage via microSD (up to 512 GB), and supports network protocols and client platforms such as iVMS-4200, Hik-Connect, and Hik-Central.
