Product Overview
The Hikvision DS-2CD2126G2-IMS is a 2 MP fixed dome network (IP) camera designed for reliable everyday surveillance with direct high-definition viewing support. It uses a 1/2.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor to deliver up to 1920 × 1080 resolution, with a shutter range from 1/3 s to 1/100,000 s for flexible exposure control. For scenes with harsh lighting, the camera provides 120 dB true WDR to help maintain clear image detail against strong backlight.
For recording and streaming efficiency, the camera supports H.265+ compression (along with H.265/H.264/H.264+ depending on stream) and provides multiple stream outputs including a third stream under certain settings. Live viewing can be performed via HDMI output for direct HD monitoring.
Night performance is supported by an IR illuminator with a range up to 30 m (850 nm). The camera includes a smart IR function to help adapt illumination to changing conditions.
The DS-2CD2126G2-IMS is built with full metal materials and is vandal resistant (IK10), making it suitable for demanding installations. Additional on-board features include built-in microSD storage (up to 512 GB), privacy masks, and event capabilities such as motion detection and smart scene change detection. Deep learning functions include face capture and perimeter protection for human/vehicle related detections. Security features include password protection, HTTPS encryption, and TLS 1.3 support.
