Product Overview
The Hikvision DS-2CD2166G2H-I(SU) is a 6MP fixed dome IP network camera designed for high-quality surveillance in both bright and low-light conditions. It uses a 1/2.4″ progressive scan CMOS sensor to deliver up to 3200 × 1800 resolution for detailed monitoring. Powered-by-DarkFighter technology provides excellent low-light performance, while an IR illuminator (850 nm) supports night imaging up to 30 m. For scenes with difficult lighting, the camera features 120 dB true WDR to help maintain clear details against strong backlight.
For efficient storage and streaming, the camera supports H.265+ compression along with H.265/H.264 options, including multi-stream operation. Video encoding includes scalable video coding (SVC) and region of interest (ROI) support. Deep learning functionality focuses on human and vehicle classification, and smart alerts can be triggered for perimeter protection scenarios such as line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and region exiting.
The DS-2CD2166G2H-I(SU) also includes security and operational features such as password protection, HTTPS encryption, TLS 1.1/1.2/1.3, and watermarking. Audio is supported via a built-in microphone (-U variant). With an IP67 weather rating and IK10 vandal resistance, this fixed dome camera is built for demanding outdoor installations. Optional lens choices include 2.8 mm or 4 mm fixed focal lenses.
