The Hikvision DS-2CD2183G2-IU is an 8MP AcuSense Vandal Fixed Dome Network Camera designed for reliable, high-detail monitoring indoors or outdoors. It uses a 1/2.8″ Progressive Scan CMOS sensor to deliver up to 3840 × 2160 resolution, providing clear, sharp images for identifying people and vehicles.
To handle challenging lighting, the camera features 120 dB true WDR, helping maintain clarity in scenes with strong backlight. For efficient recording and remote viewing, it supports advanced video compression including H.265+ (H.265+/H.265/H.264+), with support for multiple streams and scalable video coding (SVC). A fixed focal lens is available at 2.8 mm or 4 mm options, offering different fields of view.
AcuSense deep learning functions focus alarm efficiency on human and vehicle targets. The system supports smart perimeter protection such as line crossing and intrusion, and can trigger alarms based on specified target types (human and vehicle). For audio security, the built-in microphone enables real-time mono audio.
With IR illumination and a supplement light range up to 30 m (850 nm), the camera can capture usable images in low-light conditions. It is built for harsh installations with IP67 weather resistance and IK10 vandal resistance, making it suitable for demanding environments.
