The Hikvision DS-2CD2186G2-IMS is a 4K fixed focal dome network camera designed for high-quality, detailed monitoring. Featuring an 1/1.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor and a maximum resolution of 3840 × 2160 (8 MP), it delivers crisp images for general surveillance and perimeter protection applications. The camera supports efficient H.265+ compression to help reduce bandwidth and storage while maintaining image quality.
To handle challenging lighting conditions, the camera includes true 130 dB WDR for clearer imaging against strong backlight. Day/Night operation is supported with an IR cut filter, and an IR illuminator provides night-time visibility up to 30 meters at 850 nm. A smart IR function and smart detection features help improve event reliability.
For installation and practical usability, the DS-2CD2186G2-IMS offers a direct HD live view with HDMI output, alongside network streaming with support for multiple simultaneous channels. It includes mono audio (line in/line out) and alarm I/O for integration with external devices. Built with full metal materials and designed to be vandal resistant to IK10, the camera is suitable for robust indoor or outdoor mounting where durability is required.
Security, network storage, and standards-based connectivity are supported via ONVIF (Profile S/G/T) and iVMS-4200, Hik-Connect, and Hik-Central client software. With built-in microSD slot (up to 512 GB), it supports flexible recording and event workflows.
