Product Overview
The Hikvision DS-2CD2583G2-I(S) is an 8MP fixed mini dome network (IP) camera designed for reliable day and night monitoring. It uses a 1/2.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor with maximum resolution of 3840 × 2160 for detailed image capture. For challenging lighting conditions, the camera supports 120 dB WDR, helping maintain clarity against strong backlight. Image quality is further supported by BLC, HLC and 3D DNR.
Powered by deep learning, Hikvision AcuSense technology focuses on human and vehicle targets classification, enabling more efficient and effective alarm handling at both front- and back-end devices. The camera includes optional human/vehicle-based motion detection and smart events such as line crossing detection and intrusion detection.
For night performance, it features an IR illuminator with a range up to 30 m and an IR wavelength of 850 nm. Efficient compression is delivered through H.265+ technology, helping reduce bandwidth and storage needs while maintaining video quality. The device also supports multiple video streams, ROI, and scalable video coding (SVC), making it suitable for flexible recording and viewing configurations.
Built for outdoor use, the DS-2CD2583G2-I(S) is rated IP67 for water and dust resistance and IK08 for vandal resistance. An optional “-S” variant provides audio and alarm interface support, including a built-in microphone for audio applications.
