The Hikvision DS-2CD2T83G2-2I/4I is an 8MP AcuSense fixed bullet network camera designed for reliable identification and efficient alarm handling. Powered by deep learning algorithms, Hikvision AcuSense technology focuses on human and vehicle classification for smarter, more effective alert generation across front- and back-end systems. This helps reduce false alarms while improving response quality.
For image capture, the camera uses a 1/2.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor with a maximum resolution of 3840 × 2160 (8MP). With 120 dB WDR (wide dynamic range), it delivers clear visibility against strong backlight conditions. Efficient H.265+ compression helps optimize bandwidth and storage while maintaining image detail.
The DS-2CD2T83G2-2I/4I supports IR night illumination using an 850 nm IR wavelength. The datasheet specifies supplement light range up to 60 m for the -2I version and up to 80 m for the -4I version; for this /2I/4I product family, the summarized night vision range is provided as 60 m.
In addition to strong imaging performance, the camera includes smart event capabilities such as line crossing detection and intrusion detection with support for alarm triggering by target types (human and vehicle).
