Product Overview
The Hikvision DS-2CD3186G2-IS(U) is an 8MP AcuSense IR fixed dome network camera designed for reliable perimeter and area security with intelligent detection. It supports human and vehicle target classification using deep learning, helping reduce false alarms and improve alarm efficiency on front- and back-end systems. Equipped with a 1/1.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor and 8MP maximum resolution (3840 × 2160), the camera delivers detailed imaging for monitoring applications. For challenging lighting conditions, it features 120 dB true WDR to maintain clear visibility against strong back light, alongside image enhancement technologies such as BLC/HLC, 3D DNR and defog. Low-light performance is powered by Hikvision DarkFighter technology and includes an IR illuminator with a supplement light range up to 40 m (850 nm), enabling night monitoring. Compression is efficient with H.265+ to help optimize bandwidth and storage.
The camera is built with Hikvision Embedded Open Platform (HEOP) for flexible integration, including importing third-party applications, and provides onboard resources (1.5 TOPS computing power, 40 MB memory, 350 MB smart RAM, and 2 GB eMMC). It also supports microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC storage (up to 512 GB), PoE (IEEE 802.3af Class 3), and a robust set of network and security features including HTTPS, 802.1X, and TLS support. With IP67 water-and-dust resistance and IK10 vandal resistance, it is suitable for outdoor deployments.
