Product Overview
The Hikvision DS-2CD6F82G0-S is a dual-lens network (IP) camera designed for detailed monitoring with both standard and wide-angle views. It supports Channel 1 up to 3840 × 2160 (8MP) and Channel 2 up to 3840 × 2160 (also supporting 4K-class capture), enabling flexible surveillance coverage in a single device. For challenging lighting conditions, it features 120 dB true WDR on Channel 1 and digital WDR on Channel 2 to help maintain clarity against strong backlight.
Audio is included for real-time audio security thanks to a built-in microphone, supporting mono sound and multiple audio compression options such as G.711, AAC-LC and others. The camera provides smooth video performance using H.265/H.264 compression with CBR/VBR bitrate control, scalable video coding (SVC), and ROI support (4 fixed regions for the main stream). Multiple streaming and configuration capabilities are supported through an extensive protocol set including RTSP/RTCP, HTTP/HTTPS, ONVIF, and ISAPI.
For recording and storage, it supports onboard microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC memory card slots up to 512 GB, as well as storage options via NAS (NFS/SMB/CIFS) and NVR. Motion detection is available with event linkage actions such as upload to FTP/NAS/memory card and triggering recording. The DS-2CD6F82G0-S is available in two lens variants: DS-2CD6F82G0-S(4mm/8mm) and DS-2CD6F82G0-S(2.8mm/6mm).
