Product Overview
The Hikvision DS-2DF7A836IXG-EL(Y) is a high-definition 8MP IP network speed dome designed for long-range surveillance across large outdoor areas. Using a 1/1.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor, it delivers up to 3840 × 2160 maximum resolution with strong low-light performance supported by DarkFighter 2.0 and IR illumination. With a 36× optical zoom lens (plus 16× digital zoom), the dome can capture detailed close-up views while covering expansive scenes such as roads, railways, airports, ports, parks, and large venues.
For challenging lighting conditions, the camera supports 140 dB AWDR (Wide Dynamic Range) to maintain image clarity against strong backlight. PTZ performance includes fast focus, rapid scanning capabilities, smart pan-tilt correction, and built-in gyroscope stabilisation to support steady image output. The dome offers flexible control features such as up to 300 presets, 8 patrols, 3D positioning, and scheduled tasks including preset/patrol scan and dome reboot/adjust.
Built for tough environments, it is rated IP67 (water and dust resistant) and IK10 (vandal proof), with optional corrosion resistance (NEMA 4X, -Y variant). It also includes privacy masking and multiple image enhancement functions (BLC, HLC, 3D DNR), along with advanced event capabilities including deep learning face capture, perimeter protection, and road traffic/vehicle detection (checkpoint scenario).
