Product Overview
The Hikvision DS-2DF8442I5XG1-ELWY is a 4MP network PTZ speed dome designed for long-range, high-detail surveillance in challenging lighting. It uses a 1/1.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor and supports up to 2688 × 1520 maximum resolution, delivering clear imagery in both day and night conditions. For low-light performance, the camera leverages DarkFighter 2.0 technology, with a very low minimum illumination rating for color and black-and-white operation.
To maintain clarity in difficult scenes, the dome includes 150 dB AWDR (Wide Dynamic Range) and optical defog, helping reduce issues from backlight and haze. It offers powerful zoom capability with 42× optical zoom and 16× digital zoom, enabling close-up viewing across expansive areas. For nighttime detection and illumination, it supports laser supplement light with a laser distance up to 500 m and includes smart supplement light control.
PTZ performance includes 360° pan, tilt range from -20° to 90° (with auto flip), and configurable high pan/tilt speeds. The dome provides extensive presets (300) and multiple scan patterns (patrol, pattern, and more) with power-off memory and 3D positioning. Advanced deep learning functions support face detection/capture with grading and selection, and road traffic detection for vehicles, including vehicle attributes and license plate recognition in checkpoint scenarios.
