The Hikvision DS-2DF8C842IXG1-ELWY 8MP 42× DarkFighter 2.0 IR Network Speed Dome is designed for high-definition long-range surveillance over expansive outdoor areas. Featuring a 1/1.2″ progressive scan CMOS sensor and up to 3840 × 2160 resolution, it delivers detailed imagery in both day and low-light conditions. DarkFighter 2.0 technology enhances performance in very low illumination, while 140 dB AWDR helps produce clear imaging in challenging backlight scenarios.
Equipped with a 7.5 mm to 315 mm lens (42× optical zoom) and 16× digital zoom, the speed dome supports close-up views from a distance with adjustable PTZ control. For night monitoring, it includes IR with an illumination range up to 500 m and supports smart IR supplementation. Built for tough environments, it is water and dust resistant (IP67) and vandal resistant (IK10, excluding the glass window).
Advanced smart functions support face capture (detect, track, capture, grade, and select faces in motion) as well as road traffic detection for vehicle and license plate-related scenarios in checkpoint use. Motion-oriented deep learning features include perimeter protection (line crossing, intrusion, and region entrance/exiting detection) and multi-target type detection for humans, faces, and vehicles. Additional capabilities such as smart pan-tilt correction and optical defog further improve reliability for outdoor deployments.
