The Hikvision DS-2DY9C440IXG-LWY/14 is a network PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) positioning camera designed for wide-area monitoring with high detail. It uses a 1/1.8-inch progressive scan CMOS on the PTZ channel and supports up to 2560 × 1440 resolution, delivering clear imaging for both large-area coverage and zoomed-in observation. With 40× optical zoom and 16× digital zoom, the camera helps operators locate targets accurately and track them across a 360° pan range and -90° to 90° tilt range.

For challenging lighting environments, the camera provides excellent low-light performance with DarkFighter 2.0 technology and supports operation with 0 lux with IR. It also includes 150 dB AWDR for clear images against strong back light, while EIS (electronic image stabilization) helps maintain steadier output on both panoramic and PTZ channels. A built-in gyroscope further supports stable image output. The unit supports advanced PTZ functions such as 3D positioning, smart pan-tilt correction, and multiple scheduled scan modes (including preset, pattern scan, patrol scan, auto scan, and panorama scan).

For long-range night illumination, it includes an IR laser illuminator (default off) with a supplement light range up to 500 m, plus smart supplementary lighting. The device supports smart events and deep learning functions including multi-target-type detection (human, face, and vehicle) and face capture up to 30 faces simultaneously, along with secure network features and on-board microSD support up to 512 GB.
