The Hikvision DS-2DY9C840LXG-LWY/14 is an 8MP PTZ IP laser network positioning system designed for long-range, high-detail surveillance in challenging lighting. It combines a 1/1.2-inch progressive scan CMOS (PTZ channel) with up to 3840×2160 resolution, delivering a sharp, large-area view while retaining fine details. A powerful 40× optical zoom with 16× digital zoom supports precise target framing from wide overviews to tight telephoto shots. In low-light conditions, the camera’s DarkFighter technology provides excellent sensitivity, while the system also supports 0 lux operation with IR. For visibility in harsh backlight environments, it uses 140 dB AWDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology to help maintain image clarity.

For stable operation, the unit includes a built-in gyroscope and supports OIS (PTZ channel) image stabilization to reduce camera shake during movement. It also supports advanced PTZ control features such as VR Panorama (VR-Assisted Live View), Smart Pan-Tilt Correction, and 3D positioning. Installation and integration are supported through ONVIF (Profile S/G/T/M), ISAPI, SDK, and third-party client iVMS-4200. Additional capabilities include IR laser illumination (default off) with a range up to 1000 m, region exposure/focus, privacy masking, scheduled tasks, and smart/deep-learning functions for human/face/vehicle detection and face capture up to 30 faces.
