Product Overview
The Hikvision iDS-2CD5D87G2/V-XS is an 8MP DeepinView X fixed-lens dome network camera designed for perimeter protection and reliable identification in challenging lighting conditions. It uses a 1/1.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor to deliver up to 3840 × 2160 maximum resolution. For low-light performance, the camera integrates Hikvision DarkFighter 2.0 technology and supports hybrid illumination with both IR (850 nm) and white light, with supplement lighting reaching up to 40 m. Video is efficiently compressed using H.265+ for bandwidth and storage savings.
For smarter security, the camera includes embedded deep learning based target detection and classification for perimeter protection events such as line crossing, intrusion, region entrance, and region exiting. The algorithm is designed to reduce false alarms caused by environmental factors like leaves, lights, animals, or flags. It also supports AI Encoding for reduced storage usage while maintaining image quality of key targets such as humans and vehicles. Additional deep learning features include metadata for the supported perimeter events and AcuSeek search support when used with AcuSeek NVR/servers.
Built for tough installations, the camera is water and dust resistant with IP67 protection and is vandal proof to IK10. For cybersecurity, it provides TPM 2.0 and supports multiple security functions including password protection, HTTPS encryption, 802.1X authentication, and encrypted streams such as SRTP.
