Product Overview
The Hikvision iDS-2CD7026G0/EP-IHSY is a 2 MP ANPR Box Network Camera designed for road traffic and vehicle identification applications. Built on a 1/1.8″ progressive scan CMOS sensor, it supports up to 1920 × 1080 resolution and delivers efficient performance in low-light environments using Hikvision DarkFighter technology. For challenging lighting conditions, the camera features 140 dB WDR to help maintain clear images against strong backlight.
Equipped with dedicated road traffic and license plate recognition capabilities, the camera can capture and recognize number plates using embedded deep learning algorithms. It supports license plate categorization with blocklist and allowlist for separate alarm triggering. Road traffic and vehicle detection functions include detection of vehicles without license plates, as well as license plate recognition for motorcycles (checkpoint scenario). The device can also detect vehicle attributes such as type, color, and brand (city street mode recommended), and provides road traffic metadata.
For video efficiency, the camera uses H.265+ compression and offers multiple simultaneous streams (five streams) to meet different application needs. It also supports IR supplementary lighting with 850 nm wavelength. The rugged housing is rated IP66 for water/dust resistance and IK10 for vandal resistance, making it suitable for outdoor installation.
Overall, it’s a purpose-built IP camera for ANPR-based traffic monitoring where accurate plate recognition and reliable outdoor performance are required.
