IDS-2CD7046G0/EP-IHSY Hikvision Box IP Camera

The Hikvision iDS-2CD7046G0/EP-IHSY is a 4 MP ANPR box network camera designed for road traffic and vehicle identification. Using embedded deep learning license plate capture and recognition algorithms, the camera can perform plate capture and recognition directly, with high accuracy for both common and complex-structured plates. It also supports plate categorization using allowlist and blocklist, enabling separate alarm triggering for different plate groups.

Built for challenging outdoor scenes, the camera combines DarkFighter low-light performance with 140 dB WDR to deliver clear imaging in strong backlight conditions. The IR illuminator (850 nm) provides long-range supplementary lighting, and the camera supports automatic day/night operation using an IR cut filter. For video efficiency, it offers H.265+ compression and supports multiple simultaneous streams (up to 5 streams) to fit a wide range of monitoring and recording requirements.

For integration and system scalability, it supports common network protocols, up to 20 channels of simultaneous live view, and provides API access (including ONVIF/open network video interface support). The device includes audio I/O, alarm inputs/outputs, RS-485, onboard microSD storage (up to 256 GB), and network storage options with NAS (NFS/SMB/CIFS). With rugged protection rated IP66 and IK10, it is well suited to roadside installations where durability and reliable ANPR performance are required.
